A manufacturing company from the high-tech medical field that manufactures 3D scanning systems for the dental-medical field approached the Automation Yeruham company with a request to produce an ergonomic work environment to make it easier for its employees. The packing and shipping station that existed until now will be operated by two workers who survived to lift kits of the systems weighing 45 kg for each such kit – something that made it very difficult for the workers’ health and daily work.
The solution offered to the client included the characterization of the client’s needs, the design of a secure lifting gripper device (the “2 hands” lift), and the installation of a system that includes a mast and a mobile arm to create freedom of work in a sector of 270 degrees for a movement range of up to 4 meters. This solution enables the lifting and moving of products from one point to several places without difficulty in lifting the worker and creating a more secure passage for them.
